A Link to the Past

So considering that a break from thesis usually just involves other endeavors in Maya, I've finally started something I've wanted to do for a long time. The drawing in the picture below is from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and I'm recreating it in what will hopefully be beautiful three-deenesss. I've only put in about 2 or 3 hours so far, which is why there isn't any texturing yet (aside from the displaced decal and flat colors). Most of what is there is lighting. Anyhoo.. stopping to continue thesis but hopefully I can etch away at it in the breaks I take.

Oh and those triangly thingies in front of the sword (in the model view) are reflection panels that are a part of the controlled reflection set on the swords blade. They're one-sided so you can't see that theyre bright white.

Dear Bohdon Sayre, my name is Friendly Werewolf. Sorry I didn't introduce myself properly the 1st time I left comments on this. But anyway, I'm loving what your doing here on this picture of the Master Sword from "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past". I am going to be extremly honest about myself, I was litteraly born 6 days before "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was releashed on the Nintendo 64. After I got a Wii one one cChristman and saw it in the Virtual Console for a preety good price, I bought it with my allowance. I love it the minute I completed the first dungeon (The Great Deku Tree) and eventually learned about A Link to the Past. I love the quest and my favor momment was the scene when Link pulled the Master Sword out of its pedestal in the Lost Woods after obtaining the Three Pendants of Courage, Power, and Wisdom. I love how your're making it 3D and it litterally blows my mind from seeing this picture here on this site of the progress you made of it so far. Please, could you finish this? I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS AS A SCREEN SAVER... Anyway, I wish you the best of support and give you DETERMINATION. I would love to meet you and talk to you IRL, but I don't have you on my Friends list. But if you ever wanna just hang out and talk when you have the time, that would be cool 2 and stuff... See ya and hope for the best from the very best, -Friendly Werewolf
